Os fundadores da Google, Larry Page e Sergey Brin, conheceram-se na Universidade de Stanford, em 1995. Em meados de 1996, tinham já criado um motor de pesquisa (apelidado, inicialmente, de BackRub) que utilizava links para determinar a importância das diferentes páginas Web.
Larry e Sergey deram o nome “Google” ao motor de pesquisa que criaram, um jogo com a palavra “googol”, o termo matemático para o dígito 1 seguido de 100 zeros. A Google Inc. nascia em 1998, quando o cofundador da Sun, Andy Bechtolsheim, passa um cheque no valor de 100 000 dólares a esta entidade, até então inexistente.

As Country Head of Large Customer Sales (LCS) Portugal, you lead a sales force of highly skilled and ambitious Googlers. As Country Director you are leading member of the cross-functional leadership team and will represent all aspects of Google to the Portuguese market.
You are the official face of Google from the perspective of an advertiser, publisher, and government official. Ultimately, you will drive how Portuguese business, government and consumers view Google.
Perfil
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant sales and general management experience in technology, advertising and/or internet industries.
- Proven influencer among Portuguese media, business and political channels with strong relationships within the advertising and technology players in the region.
- Proven ability to drive business growth performance and grow businesses in the Portuguese markets.
- Strong track record of cross functional leadership, general management capabilities;
